Hiking El Camino, Five Hundred Miles Across Spain will be presented by Laura Foley and Clara Giminez on Monday January 7 at 7 pm. Snow date Monday January 14.
Slide Show, Camino-Inspired Poems, and a Q & A for those interested in learning a bit about their pilgrimage across Spain to Santiago de Compostela.
Last spring, Clara Gimenez (law professor, photographer) and Laura Foley (poet) hiked from France across Spain on a route called El Camino de Santiago, following yellow arrows over mountain paths, through Meseta plains and medieval cities. Overcoming physical, mental and spiritual challenges, they succeeded in their goal of reaching the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. And at the end, all they wanted was—to do it once again.
They’d like to share their enthusiasm, insights, as well as practical advice in case you, too, are called . . . to Santiago. They will also offer a sample of Spanish tapas and wine.
